I learnt classical piano and flute when I was at school, and have also had periods of mucking around with guitar and piano accordion. I became interested in blues piano after I went to a gig and heard an amazing blues pianist live. I then had some lessons from him. I used to write songs when I was little, but I've only really gotten into it in the last few years. 

I also write short stories.
